The Business Correspondent (BC) course is a skill-based professional program designed to train individuals to deliver basic banking and financial services on behalf of banks, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. The course focuses on promoting financial inclusion by enabling learners to act as authorized representatives of banks.
Through this course, students gain practical knowledge of the banking system, account opening procedures, KYC norms, digital payment systems (AEPS, UPI, IMPS), government financial schemes, customer service, and banking security practices. Emphasis is placed on hands-on training, real-world case studies, and the use of banking devices and applications.
After successful completion, learners can work as Business Correspondents, CSP Operators, Banking Mitras, or Digital Payment Agents, or start their own customer service point as a self-employment opportunity.
The course content may be updated as per bank and RBI guidelines. Certification, placement assistance, and practical exposure are subject to institute policies and regulatory norms.
